Katy Coakley is a senior at Resurrection. This is her first year writing for the Res Banner. She has always loved to write and loves writing about different movies and TV shows. Her hobbies include going to the library, reading books, traveling and watching movies. She is also a member of National Honor Society. Katy is very happy to write for the Res Banner.


Reyna Galvez is a current senior at Resurrection College Prep.  Besides writing for The Banner, she is part of many other extracurricular activities.  Most of her time is spent playing her flute in the band room with the Notre Dame Resurrection Band.  She is also a member of the sound crew in the Resurrection fall production of These Shining Lives.  In addition to all of her other extracurriculars, she is a dancer outside of school with Picture Us Different Dance Studio.  In Reyna’s busy schedule, she still finds time to do what she enjoys by writing for The Banner.


Bella Gamboa is a current sophomore. She plays golf, bowling, and soccer at Resurrection. She is in the Teaology club, Psychology club, and Spanish club.


Julia Gamboa is a freshman at Resurrection. Some of her hobbies include reading, playing basketball, and running. She enjoys being involved in sports, clubs, and other extracurriculars. She loves to keep up with sports as well as write about them and is looking forward to writing for The Banner this year!


This is Rose Haughey’s third year writing for The Banner. She is a senior and is in her second year of creative writing club. Rose has been writing for years and had a piece of her work published while in grammar school.


Lauren McLaughlin is a current senior at Resurrection College Prep.This is her first year writing for The Banner. Ever since she was little she has loved to draw and in recent years she discovered a passion for writing. Lauren also enjoys playing the piano and participating in plays and musicals. 


Meagan Riordan is a current senior at Resurrection College Prep. This is her second year writing for The Banner. This is her third year in the Broadcasting Club. Meagan looks up to Candace Cameron Bure for inspiration in writing and for life.


Lydia Williams is a junior at Resurrection. She has never written for a school newspaper before but she does love the arts and writing. She does every play and musical at the school and even works with theater companies outside of school. She is an art and fashion enthusiast. Lydia has always wanted an audience to read her articles and see her art so she is very excited to be a part of the Res Banner.

Resurrection College Prep High School is sponsored by the Sisters of the Resurrection, an order founded in Rome by Blessed Celine Borzecka and her daughter Mother Hedwig. Resurrection College Prep High School was established by the Sisters in 1922 and is built on the Sisters’ mission of transforming society by uplifting women through education and preparing them for leadership.  Resurrection is totally focused on young women and their needs.
