Catholic Schools Week is the celebration and recognition of the way that Catholic schooling affects the community, the students, and their lives outside of school. Catholic schools week has always been celebrated through the phrase, “Faith, Excellence, and Service.” Much like the Resurrection motto, “Charity and Truth,” this phrase promotes compassion among people through a foundational relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
This year, in celebration of Catholic Schools Week, all of us at Resurrection are participating in a food drive for the New Hope Food Pantry. As an incentive, students will be granted the privilege of dressing out of uniform in exchange for a donation for the pantry. Freshmen are encouraged to bring cake mix, Sophomores are responsible for frosting, juniors are in charge of pasta, and seniors are taking care of canned vegetables and/or fruit. Faculty and Staff are able to participate by bringing any one of these options.
Stay alert for more updates from Ms. Qualter on what else is going on for this year’s Catholic Schools Week. Happy giving!
